Vietnam Pepper Market Holds Strong at VND 151,000–152,000/kg Amid Minor Price Adjustments

Domestic pepper prices in Vietnam experienced slight fluctuations, adjusting by VND 500–1,000 per kilogram. Pepper traded in the range of VND 151,000 – 152,000/kg, maintaining stability overall. Meanwhile, global pepper prices saw minimal changes, with notable increases only in Indonesia. Internationally, pepper prices remained steady across most major producing countries, except for Indonesia, where prices showed a modest uptick: 

• Indonesia:
  • Black pepper Lampung rose by 0.19% to $7,252/ton.
  • White pepper Muntok increased by 0.2% to $9,983/ton.
    
    
• Malaysia:
  • Black pepper Kuching ASTA stayed at $9,200/ton.
  • White pepper ASTA held steady at $11,900/ton.
    
    
• Brazil:
  • Black pepper ASTA 570 remained at $6,800/ton.
    
    
• Vietnam:
  • Export price of black pepper (500 g/l): $6,700/ton.
  • Black pepper (550 g/l): $6,800/ton.
  • White pepper export price: $9,700/ton.
    
    

 Thus, aside from Indonesia's slight gains, global pepper prices were largely unchanged. In Vietnam, domestic pepper prices showed minor adjustments compared to the previous trading session: 

• Dak Lak: Increased by VND 1,000 to VND 152,000/kg.
  
  
• Dak Nong: Also rose to VND 152,000/kg.
  
  
• Gia Lai: Unchanged at VND 151,000/kg.
  
  
• Dong Nai: Decreased by VND 1,000 to VND 152,000/kg.
  
  
• Ba Ria - Vung Tau: Fell by VND 1,000 to VND 152,000/kg.
  
  
• Binh Phuoc: Dropped by VND 500 to VND 151,000/kg.
  
  

 Despite these slight fluctuations, domestic pepper prices continue to hold within the range of VND 151,000 – 152,000/kg. 

Market Outlook

The domestic pepper market remains resilient, with prices hovering around the VND 152,000/kg threshold. Analysts suggest that while short-term fluctuations are expected due to supply-demand dynamics, overall stability is being maintained in both domestic and global markets.
