Raipur, India: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited’s (HPCL) state-of-the-art Petroleum Oil Depot in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The newly constructed facility boasts a storage capacity of 54,000 kilolitres (KL), designed to handle ethanol, petrol, and diesel, marking a major boost to India’s fuel distribution infrastructure.
The depot is equipped with advanced safety systems, automated handling, and eco-friendly features aimed at reducing emissions and improving operational efficiency. It will play a crucial role in ensuring steady fuel supply across Chhattisgarh and neighbouring states, while also supporting the government’s ethanol blending and clean energy initiatives.Officials from HPCL stated that the new depot will not only enhance storage and distribution capabilities but also generate local employment and promote industrial development in the region.The inauguration underscores the Modi government’s continued focus on strengthening energy infrastructure, promoting Atmanirbhar Bharat, and advancing towards a sustainable and self-reliant energy future for India.
