Indore: Maize prices in the Indore market moved higher on Tuesday, supported by increased demand from ethanol manufacturers. Traders said steady buying from distilleries has tightened local supplies, leading to an upward trend in prices.
Meanwhile, wheat and rice prices remained stable as demand and supply conditions stayed balanced. Wheat arrivals were adequate, and millers showed limited fresh buying interest. Rice prices also ruled steady amid normal trade activity and sufficient stock availability.
Market participants expect maize prices to stay firm in the near term due to continued ethanol demand, while wheat and rice are likely to trade in a narrow range unless fresh demand emerges.
