Vietnam’s demand for Distillers Dried Grains with Soluble (DDGS) continues to show strong momentum, with hundreds of active importers sourcing the feed ingredient from global suppliers. Recent trade data indicates sustained purchasing activity, reflecting robust commercial interest in the country’s expanding animal feed sector. Industry shipment records reveal that approximately 460 Vietnamese importers have sourced DDGS from more than 200 international suppliers, with a significant number remaining active over the past year.
The consistent flow of shipments highlights Vietnam’s position as one of Southeast Asia’s key DDGS markets. The growth is closely linked to rising demand in Vietnam’s livestock and aquaculture industries. As feed producers seek cost-effective protein and energy alternatives, DDGS has become an increasingly important component in feed formulations for swine, poultry, and cattle.
Market analysts note that stable import volumes suggest confidence among feed millers despite global commodity price fluctuations. The continued diversification of supply sources also indicates strategic sourcing efforts to ensure price competitiveness and supply security. With Vietnam’s livestock production expected to expand further, DDGS imports are likely to remain strong, reinforcing the country’s role as a major feed ingredient hub in the Southeast Asian region.
