Rapeseed meal prices in China remained firm today, with spot quotations holding in the range of ¥2,550–2,620 per tonne (approximately USD 350–370/tonne). The sustained strength reflects tight global rapeseed supplies and steady demand from the livestock and aquaculture sectors. Crushers are maintaining cautious sales strategies, supported by relatively constrained inventories and ongoing feed demand, which continues to underpin the market.
In contrast, Indian rapeseed meal is being offered at significantly lower levels, around USD 200–235 per tonne on a CFR basis to Asian destinations. The price advantage has enhanced the competitiveness of Indian cargoes across Southeast Asia, particularly among feed millers seeking cost-effective protein alternatives. The widening price spread between Chinese domestic values and Indian export offers is reshaping regional trade flows and supporting increased buying interest for Indian-origin supplies.
