The government is currently reviewing a new support scheme aimed at providing assistance to sugarcane farmers across the region. The initiative, as highlighted by the Sanjivani Sugar Mill Administrator, is expected to focus on improving financial aid, ensuring fair pricing, and offering technical guidance to enhance crop yield and sustainability.

In a significant relief for sugarcane farmers, the Uttarakhand government has announced an increase of ₹30 per quintal in the State Advised Price (SAP) for sugarcane for the new crushing season. The decision aims to boost farmer incomes and address rising cultivation costs.

The Gohana Sugar Mill in Haryana has officially begun its sugarcane crushing operations for the new season, bringing relief and optimism to thousands of sugarcane farmers in the region. The commencement marks an important phase in the agricultural cycle, as farmers look forward to timely processing and smoother payments for their produce.

According to agricultural experts, farmers are increasingly opting for maize due to its lower water requirement, higher market demand, and better profitability compared to traditional crops like wheat.

They have urged the district administration to strictly enforce load regulations, ensure fair transport rates, and guarantee timely payment of dues.
