Sugar Ethanol Bioenergy Int- Vietnam is planning to switch completely to ethanol-blended gasoline from next year, opening up the possibility for the Southeast Asian country to import more ethanol and corn from the United States.The Ministry of Industry and Trade has submitted a proposal to the government to switch to E10 - a blend that mixes gasoline with up to 10% of bioethanol, according to ministry documents reviewed by Reuters. It currently uses the RON95 and RON92 unleaded gasoline standards.

Sugar Ethanol Bioenergy Int- Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has said that India has successfully achieved 20 per cent ethanol blending in petrol in 2025, five years ahead of its original target set for 2030. Highlighting the country’s clean energy progress, the minister noted that ethanol blending in petrol has risen from just 1.5% in 2014 to 20% in 2025, a nearly 13-fold increase over 11 years. Mr Puri emphasised that the shift towards ethanol-blended fuel has not only bolstered energy security but also led to significant economic and environmental benefits. Ethanol production has surged from 38 crore litres in 2014 to 661.1 crore litres by June 2025.

Singh on Thursday assured representatives of the state’s 133 sugar mills that the board will extend full support to them in meeting environmental compliance and consent requirements. Sugar Ethanol Bioenergy Int- India has allowed production of ethanol from sugarcane juice, syrup and all types of molasses without any restrictions on volumes in 2025/2026, the government said in a notification on Monday.The world's second-biggest sugar producer had restricted production in the current marketing year because of a drop in sugarcane supplies.
